Boys who are happy at school are far more likely to do well. This is why we attach so much importance to their pastoral care. Throughout the school the form teacher is immediately responsible for the pastoral and academic needs of the boys in his or her form. If boys or parents have any concerns, they should turn to the form teacher for help. Serious pastoral issues will always be referred to the deputy head (pastoral) who meets with the headmaster each day. Older boys, especially the prefects who are appointed in year 8, are also expected to help the younger boys get the most from their time in the school. Our boys are able to realize their very considerable potential because they feel secure and valued. We want our boys to look forward to coming to school each morning and to return home happily each afternoon.
