It’s been a double success for twins Divya and Pooja Sridhar, who both received outstanding International Baccalaureate diploma programme (IB) results this week – with both girls achieving the highest mark of seven in all three of their higher level subjects.
Divya scored a total of 44 out of the possible 45 IB points with full marks in her higher level subjects of English, Maths and Economics. She will be going to the University of Warwick to study Economics later this year. Meanwhile, Pooja achieved 42 points in total, with full marks in her chosen higher level subjects of Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Pooja will be studying Computer Science at UCL from autumn 2017. Only approximately 3% of students worldwide achieve 42 points or more in the full IB diploma.
The girls studied at Podar International School in Mumbai (an independent, co-educational school) for their secondary education and came to King’s for sixth form. As well as incredible academic success, they have also worked hard for the Duke of Edinburgh award throughout their time at King’s with both Divya and Pooja securing a gold award.
Congratulations to Divya and Pooja and best of luck with their respective undergraduate degrees.
